24/7 Veterinary Urgent Care

Fresno Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center is here for you when your family veterinarian is away or you have not selected a veterinarian.

Fresno Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center provides emergency and critical care services 24-hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Our highly trained veterinarians and capable technical staff are available for transfers and referrals from your primary care veterinarian, as well as walk-ins. Other than spaying and neutering, and vaccines, Fresno Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center is equipped with the necessary medication to treat your pet.

For the safety of all hospital patients, all dogs and cats must be leashed, crated or carried at all times. Retractable leashes must be locked at all times.

All patients are triaged when you arrive at our facility, similar to that of a human emergency room. Patients who are stable may need to wait to be seen while critical patients are stabilized.

Appointments

Because a visit to emergency with your pet is unpredictable, FVSEC does not schedule appointments for emergencies. You are welcome to walk-in with your pet at any time, day or night, or you can contact us at 559.451.0800 to inform us of your emergency.

Once you arrive at our facility, you will be checked in by our reception staff. A technical staff member will take initial vitals on your pet and get a brief history prior to one of our emergency clinicians examining your pet.

Associated Fees

The cost of an examination is $94. Payment can be made by cash, check, Visa/MasterCard/Discover/American Express, ScratchPay, SunBit Financial or CareCredit. We do not extend lines of credit. All payment is due at time of services.

Proposed Treatment Plan

All clients are presented with proposed treatment plans for medical care for their pet. After examination by our doctor, a treatment plan will be generated based on the medical needs of the pet. A pre-payment of the high end of the treatment plan is required for treatment.
