Dermatology

Like humans, our fur companions often suffer from skin diseases and disorders.  These can be caused by diet, allergies, or genetics.  Detection of what causes these skin diseases and disorders is important for both you and your pet, as it can be as frustrating for all involved.

Appointments

Once you have consulted with your primary care veterinarian and they have referred your pet to our Dermatologist, you can call Monday through Friday 8am-5pm to schedule an appointment.  If our specialty coordinator is unavailable at those times, you may be asked to leave your name and phone number so we can schedule you an appointment when she is available.

Appointments/consultations are approximately 60 minutes, depending on the severity of the case. Our Dermatologist  will review the medical record prior to examination of your pet.

Associated Fees

The cost of examination with our Dermatologist is $150.00 and includes consultation and evaluation of the skin.  Payment can be made in the form of cash, check, Visa/Mastercard/Discover/American Express, CareCredit, or Chase Health Advance.  We do not extend lines of credit.  All payment is due at time of services.

Proposed Treatment Plan

All clients are presented with proposed treatment plans for medical care for their pet.  After examination by our doctor, a treatment plan will be generated based on the medical needs of the pet.  A pre-payment of the low end of the treatment plan is required for treatment.
